personal statement
Over the past years I have developed an affinity with the sea as I have learnt to appreciate it for it’s different states and levels:the vast, endless, openness of the sea;
the feeling of buoyancy and the power of the sea, from the pulls and tugs of the waves;
the sensation of being weightless and free in movement and enclosed in another universe.
I have explored concepts relating to textures, light, depth and colour on all of these levels.
My aim is to be responsive to my love of the ever-changing visual power and diversity of the sea and to make objects that incorporate and reflect this.
