FIELD, 2012

Field was exhibited in COLLECT 2012.  A collection of vessels that is reflected from the landscape I live in now, East Sussex.

Like many people who have and are living in the south east the country side has been a source of inspiration.  Eric Ravilious was especially inspired by the landscape of the south downs and I enjoy his watercolours and style.

Field is a reflection of the start of Spring. Using yellow as a symbol that the Chinese use for happiness, glory and wisdom. It is also for pulsating life and sun.

There are many fields filled with rapeseed that surround the countryside every Spring that have seeped into my visual work.
